Globe Confirms Ministerial Dialogue on Sustainability
(CSRwire) VANCOUVER B.C. – January 24, 2008 – The GLOBE Foundation is pleased to
announce the Ministerial Dialogue on Sustainability to take place at GLOBE
2008 in Vancouver (March 12 – 14 at the Vancouver Convention and
Exhibition Centre) involving ministers representing three of the world's
most industrious continents, including both developed and developing world
economies. Ministers, in an open forum with delegates, will discuss how
they are managing both local and trans-boundary air and water quality
issues, ensuring the sustainable development of natural resources.
GLOBE will host Ministers from Canada (representing British Columbia and
Manitoba), Italy, Slovenia, and Costa Rica as they engage in a discussion
on global and domestic environmental challenges. This unique discussion
adds to a powerful program of speakers including; the Premier of British
Columbia Gordon Campbell, HRH Prince Philippe of Belgium, and senior
executives of the world’s leading corporations including Rio Tinto
Alcan, Seimens Canada, BC Hydro, RBC, Suez Energy, Encana, The Dow
Chemical Company, and Suncor.
