offering exclusive, limited edition merchandise and services benefiting
global causes, today announces its Board of Creators.
TONIC is defined as anything invigorating, mentally, morally or
physically, which embodies the spirit of what the company is trying to
accomplish. The company's mission is to sell products online that look
attractive, feel great and most importantly, contribute to causes and
people who need it most. Consumers have enthusiastically greeted TONIC's
first run of limited-edition tees since their introduction in December.
The TONIC Board of Creators is comprised of industry leaders and
executives from various backgrounds. TONIC is proud to introduce Chris
Blackwell, Rob Broggi, Jennifer and Peter Buffett, Donna Karan, Phil
Quartararo, David and Ellen Siminoff and Pankaj Shah as its esteemed Board
of Creators:
Chris Blackwell is the founder of Island Records and Rock and Roll

of U2, Bob Marley, Melissa Etheridge and The Cranberries.
Rob Broggi directs technology, media, and telecommunications equity

"to change, alter, invent" - addresses Peter's and Jennifer's
most-passionate philanthropic concerns. NoVo empowers women and girls
around the world and seeks to bring balance and level the playing field
globally.
Donna Karan's quest for the perfect jeans, as well as her desire to
dress her daughter Gabby, resulted in the 1989 birth of DKNY. It grew so
popular and diverse that other brands and labels spun from it, including
DKNY Jeans, DKNY Active, DKNY Underwear, DKNY Jeans Juniors, and DKNY
Kids. Like these collections, DKNY has an accessories and shoe collection
to underscore its New York City street-smart look. In 2006, Donna founded
the Urban Zen Initiative to play an active role that raises awareness and
inspires change by promoting well-being, preservation of culture and
empowering children through forums and special events. Donna is committed
to use her heart, her creativity and her resources to make a difference to
these global causes that mean the world to her.
Phil Quartararo is one of the modern music industry's best-known and
most respected executives. Affectionately known throughout the industry
as "Phil Q", he is highly regarded as an astute manager, a brilliant
marketer, and an executive who is passionate about both the artists and
the music they create.
A general partner at Venrock, a venture capital firm that funds
innovators in the media space, David Siminoff brings impressive
entrepreneurial, operational, and investment knowledge to TONIC. He
founded and sold EastNet, a syndicate barter company that enables Eastern
European TV stations to trade American TV programs for advertising time
from major brands. As an investment research analyst and portfolio manager
at Capital Research, he was a far-sighted early investor in Yahoo!, AOL,
Amazon and eBay. David funded and co-founded 4INFO, a leading mobile
search service. And he held the positions of chairman, president, and CEO
of Spark Networks, the parent company of JDate. He retains seats on 4INFO
and Spark boards.
Ellen Siminoff is CEO of Efficient Frontier, a pioneer of dynamic
search engine marketing management services. Prior to Efficient Frontier,
Mrs. Siminoff had six adventurous years as a founding executive at Yahoo!
With her husband, David, Mrs. Siminoff founded EastNet, a global syndicate
barter company distributing television programming to 14 emerging market
countries in exchange for advertising time. Currently, she serves on the
board of directors for US Auto Parts and Journal Communications.
Entrepreneur Pankaj Shah has a proven track record for building
companies, and TONIC, is his latest success. Including TONIC, Shah's
companies are valued at over $200 million and have been financed by
top-tier hedge funds, venture capital firms and corporations. Shah is the
founder and former CEO of 4INFO, the mobile search service for sports,
business, travel, local and entertainment information. In 2002, Shah
founded MetroFi, the leading provider of high-speed wireless Internet
access and a pioneer in the municipal WiFi market. Shah currently serves
on the board of directors of TONIC and MetroFi, and as an advisor to
several venture-backed startups.
