Greenfleet Car Service Partners with Carbonfund.org to go CarbonFree

(CSRwire) UNION, NJ - January 22, 2008 – Greenfleet Car Service announced today that it has offset its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org, the country’s leading carbon offset organization. Greenfleet Car Service has offset all of its vehicles and base operations. This commitment places Greenfleet Car Service as an environmental leader in the transportation and car service community and demonstrates proactive steps being taken in the fight against global climate change.

Greenfleet Car Service stakeholders and clients are very concerned about global warming. Considering the implications of climate change, carbon offsets through Carbonfund.org are a natural extension of the work Greenfleet Car Service does on behalf of its stakeholders.

Greenfleet Car Service is partnering with Carbonfree in order to be good stewards of the planet, while creating a new and dynamic approach to an industry that is ripe for change. Greenfleet Car Service wants to be more than just a car service company. Its goal is to leave minimal impact while providing top notch service to its clients. Through its affiliation with Carbonfund.org, Greenfleet Car Service has offset CO2 emissions for its vehicles and dispatch center. It is also providing its repeat customers with FREE carbon offset credits after a certain number of rides at absolutely no cost.

"Greenfleet is dedicated to taking a leadership position in the ground transportation industry by using an all-hybrid fleet. We believe that this model will eventually become the industry's benchmark," said Woodly Maurice, President of Greenfleet Car Service.

"Greenfleet Car Service is known for their quick and reliable car service, and with this partnership they are also helping to drive the transition to a clean energy future," said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org. "Transportation is one of the leading sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Offsetting it is a priority. The funds from Greenfleet will go to certified renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation projects to reduce and offset carbon dioxide emissions around the world."
