(CSRwire) SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 15, 2008 – One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit organization that assists in the donation of free coats, announced today that The Glad Products Company will provide One Warm Coat with 500 coupons to purchase GLAD ForceFlex trash bags for the collection and distribution of an estimated 75,000 coats, scarves and other winter accessories at coat drives across the country.

Glad was the first sponsor to provide both financial and in-kind support to One Warm Coat when the organization expanded nationally in 2002. For the first time since 2005, Glad and One Warm Coat are teaming up to bring warmth to those in need.

During the 2006-2007 season, One Warm Coat supported more than 1,000 coat drives in 42 states, providing 200,000 coats for people in need. The 2007-2008 coat drive campaign, which is expected to collect 500,000 coats through more than 2,000 coat drives in 49 states, was launched on Sept. 23.

"We are thrilled that so many people across the country have received coats to help them stay warm. It's such a simple and easy way to show people in need that you care, and Glad's generosity is making the process even easier for volunteers to do just that," said Sherri Wood, national director of One Warm Coat.
