USA Cares Texas Region Introduces In-state Representative
(CSRwire) FT. HOOD, TX - January 8, 2008 - USA Cares announced today that a second
Regional Representative position has been created to serve the entire
state of Texas. This is a yet another huge step for the Radcliff, Kentucky
based organization, as it becomes the first call for military Service
members and families across the Nation, and around the world.
Anne Crofford will represent the Texas region as an experienced team
member from the organization. Anne worked in the Family Division at USA
Cares' headquarters in Kentucky before making a Permanent Change of
Station move with her husband in fall 2007. She is familiar with the
processes and policies of USA Cares and is a perfect choice to represent
USA Cares, a caring and compassionate organization ready to increase
assistance in Texas.
Realizing the great value in the addition of regional representatives,
Anne will work to assist clients in need from the 'Lone Star State' with
the Texas desk in the call center in Kentucky. Closely watching the needs
and concerns of the Service members in her area, Anne will be able to
offer special support that not all regional representatives have access
to. USA Cares, in 2007, responded to 517 military families in the state of
Texas, with more than $159,000 worth of support. $72,000 dollars of
assistance, over the last 24 months, has been in support of mortgage
foreclosure.
With a grant from the Permian Basin Foundation, USA Cares is able to
assist military members with mortgage foreclosure prevention and issues
associated with home foreclosure. In the climate of mortgage trouble that
the Nation is experiencing, this additional help validates USA Cares'
commitment to the Troops.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to work for USA Cares as the Texas
Regional Representative," says Ms. Crofford. "The experience I received in
the Kentucky call center will be my foundation. The commitment I have
witnessed in caring for these Service Members and their families motivates
me in my new position," Crofford added.
