Molson Coors Highlights Heritage and Corporate Responsibility in New Web Site
(CSRwire) DENVER and MONTREAL - January 9, 2008 - Molson Coors Brewing Company (NYSE:
TAP; TSX), one of the leading global brewers, today announced the launch of
a new integrated, enterprise-wide Web site designed to showcase the
company's focus on brewing and building consumer-focused brands through a
strong financial foundation and a long-held commitment to corporate
responsibility.
The updated Web site (www.molsoncoors.com) features
information on Molson Coors and the company's subsidiaries in Canada -
Molson, the United Kingdom - Coors Brewers, Ltd. and the United States -
Coors Brewing Company. An interactive timeline tracks the rich history of
the company and its founding families. The site also highlights the global
brand portfolio and brewery network along with the brewing craftsmanship
that goes into every Molson Coors product.
"We are an innovative, brand-led company that is committed to living our
shared values of integrity and respect, excelling, quality, creativity and
passion," said Molson Coors CEO Leo Kiely. "The new site explains how we
brew and build great brands the right way - performing with integrity;
making quality products marketed responsibly; being stewards of the
environment in our brewing and packaging; and investing in our people and
the communities where we live and work."
The site details Molson Coors' 2008 strategic responsibility objectives
that reaffirm the company-wide commitment to alcohol responsibility,
energy conservation, recycling and water stewardship, and employee
wellness and safety. The company also plans to bring greater focus to
employee volunteerism and charitable giving.
"As a publicly held company, we've reported earnings every quarter –
looking at the financial aspects of our business on a global level. Now,
for the first time, we're also reporting on our responsibility performance
around the world and our global objectives for 2008," said Bart Alexander,
vice president, global alcohol policy and corporate responsibility for
Molson Coors. "This transparency allows anyone who is interested to go
online and review our commitments and our actions to support those
commitments. We welcome feedback on this first effort as we know we can
always improve in our performance and reporting."
The Web site features stories about Molson Coors employees across the
organization and around the world. The stories bring the company’s
values to life and provide a face to significant company achievements.
For example, featured on the site is the work of Rick Paine, a second
generation employee, who annually manages the conversion of millions of
pounds of spent yeast and waste beer into two million gallons of ethanol
in a facility owned by Merrick & Company and operated by Coors. The
ethanol is shipped to local refineries to be blended with gasoline and the
spent yeast is then made into animal feed. Because the ethanol is made
from an existing production stream, no added corn or other cereal grains
are needed in order to make it.
Performance highlights from the site include:
Participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project, an independent,
non-profit organization that collects climate-related information from
leading global companies and provides it to the investment community and
the public.
As part of its commitment to stopping drinking and driving, Molson
Canada is working with TaxiGUY to help more than 2 million Canadians get
home safely.
Coors Brewers Ltd. employees raised significant funds for Mencap and
the National Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children by walking
across the U.K.
Coors Brewing Company employees and retirees donating more than
12,000 hours annually to community causes around the U.S.

strengthen its business.
